510 USB Pass-Through Battery

I've been using this product and really like it. It saves from switching batteries and putting batteries on charge constantly. I can charge it up and disconnect it and use the 360mAh battery and get a few hours use from a single charge.
I only wish the battery box had some kind of charge indicator. I don't like leaving batteries on charge too long and I never know when it's fully charged or running low.
The short wire going from the USB plug to the battery box could be a little heavier for a form of stress relief. If your USB ports are in the middle of your PC's front panel like mine it does put a little stress on the wire from the dangling battery box. But that's not big issue. It hasn't caused any problems so far.
A very convenient product if you sit at a desk for a lot of hours, although it's not much of a hassle to unplug and take it with you either.

The battery in a USB Passthrough actually works as a voltage regulator to control how much power goes to the atomizer.

Will this USB pass-through work with a MacBook Pro?
I purchased a similar product from another site and whenever I plug it into the USB port, I get a message that claims the USB device is drawing too much power and my Mac shuts off power to the USB port. However, my wife can operate the device on her newer PC-based laptop. Just wondering if I'd have any better luck with this particular device

Great question! We have seen that error before on other devices, so it would most likely also happen with ours as well (not positive, we're not Mac people:)... On a PC, most USB devices (like a printer) come with software called a device driver, and that software tells the PC how much power the device needs. If there is no device driver software (none of our batteries have drivers), then the PC "assumes" it is a low power device, so it is safe to plug in and charge, though it may charge slower than plugged into the wall. We're guessing a Mac doesn't make that assumption.
The solution we've seen work very well for Mac users is not to plug directly into the Mac, but to use a USB hub that is powered externally. That provides 2 benefits: 1 - You aren't using up any of the USB ports on your PC for your eCig Passthrough and 2: Since the power is coming right from the wall to the USB Hub, it will likely charge your eCig faster (or provide more power for your Passthrough).

Great question! That IS a battery. It's purpose really is to act as a voltage regulator. Our eCigs operate at 3.7 volts. But depending on what you plug the passthrough cable into (wall socket, car charger, PC port), the amount of electricity coming out may vary. So when you plug in the passthrough, the battery gets charged, and the electricity "passes through" to the eCig at the right current and voltage. FYI, the passthrough will work even if the blue battery is not fully chaged.

I recently got the Joye 410 Passthrough from American E Liquid Store and could not be more satisfied. I work in an office all day around my computer, it saves the manual batteries for for when I on the go.
